Board of Directors Meeting
Telephonic Conference Call
February 18, 2007

1. Meeting called to order by Ron McGill at 8:00 p.m. CST. Present were Directors Ron McGill, Annette Johansen, Allen Cunningham, Dave Lilly, and Derial Bivens; Executive Secretary Annette Maze; Attorney Robert Summers.
2. Board reviewed with council the Restated Articles of Formation for the Corporation and suggested changes. Changes were accepted and approved, and the document remanded to Annette Maze to be completed and filed with the Texas Secretary of State.
3. The Board reviewed the proposed By Laws and suggested changes. Council was to prepare another draft and submit it to the Board at a later time for final approval.
4. Board meetings were discussed and it was decided that physical meetings were costly to the members. It was decided that most meetings would be in the form of telephone conference calls with a physical meeting to coincide with the annual membership meeting.
5. The Board requested a copy of all current accounts for review.
6. The Board discussed DNA sampling and typing. It was agreed that Ennobled animals would have their DNA on file via blood sampling, as opposed to hair samples. The Board agreed that the test should be a reasonable cost for members and to locate a lab that would support the current information on file for the history of member’s animals.
7. The Board decided to purchase publisher-friendly software so magazine contributors could continue to produce an excellent USBGA magazine.
8. Consideration was given to other matters and directors were requested to contact President Mc Gill with their suggestions.
The Boer Store was accepted by the board to be the official site for members to purchase apparel and other related items from the internet.
The meeting was adjourned.
