SHOW RULE CHANGES FOR 2007


Yearling Doe Division Rule:
Yearling Division can stand alone with 10 entries or more to make it official.
Grand Champion winner from this official Yearling Division will earn a point.
If there are not enough entries to make the Yearling Division official, then the Show Manager must notify all the exhibitors in the Yearlings and Juniors’ classes to inform them the option to combine the Division of Yearling/Juniors’ to make the combined division official (10 entries or more). This must be in full agreement by total exhibitors in the Yearling and Junior classes.
Grand Champion from a Combined Yearling/Juniors Division that is official (10 entries or more) will earn a point.

Yearling Buck Division Rule:
1. Yearling Buck Division has been eliminated.
2. Yearling bucks (12 months or older) will show as a Senior Buck.

Buck Division:
1. For each division to be official, there must be a minimal of (10) Junior Bucks and
(10) Senior Bucks. Grand Champion for each official Junior and Senior
Buck Divisions will receive a point.
2. When there is less than (10) head of Bucks for each Division (Junior and
Senior) then the Buck Division will be combined.
3. Show Manager must notify the exhibitors about the Combined Division before the
Division starts.
4. To make the Combined Buck Division official there must be a minimal (10) head
entered. Grand Champion winner of the Official Combined Division will get the
point.


Dress Code for ALL Breed class Exhibitors:
1. Collared shirt that is long enough so when squatting or bent over will not show skin.
2. Acceptable shirts:
a. Polo type shirts (clean and neat either long or short sleeved)
b. Oxford shirts or collared blouses with buttons (would caution if worn when showing horned or mouthy goats)
3. Pants should be standard waist height and correctly fitted (not shorts, low cuts, oversized or baggy)
4. Acceptable pants:
a. Jeans (blue or black) that are clean and newer looking. Not with holes, excessive wear and stains.
b. Capri style and below knee length (especially good for warmer climates).
c. Khaki slacks/jeans
5. Footwear should be closed toe and heel.
6. Acceptable footwear:
a. sneakers (clean, laces tied and proper fit)
b. hiking shoes/boots
c. boots
d. orthopedic shoes
7. Belts (optional - but does make a nice finished appearance)
8. Ball caps and sunglasses – optional only in outdoor rings or where health condition is a concern.
9. Hair – should be neatly pulled back out of your face so not available for your goat to pull!

b. Rings in a conservative amount and size. Goats like to pull and eat your rings.
c. Necklaces and chokers at shorter length so not dangling low for entanglement.
d. No body piercing with jewelry other than earrings will be acceptable while showing.
Official USBGA list of classes offered at shows:

1. This standardized list of official classes, class order and class numbers must be offered at each USBGA approved show. Doing this will help promote less errors, ease when tracking classes and uniformity of forms for the Judge, show secretary, show manager and exhibitor alike.
2. Only exception would be the Buck division when Bucks are not allowed at certain shows. Class order and class numbers will stay the same.
3. Champion Challenges not offered at Regional National Shows.
4. Base date to use when entering classes is the date of the show.

Health Regulations at Show:
1. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to obtain and possess health certificates and documentation required by the State Veterinarian where the show is located.
2. Goats showing visible signs of illness, disease or external parasites will be removed from the premises as determined by USBGA show Manager a/or the designated Veterinarian.


Registration Papers:
1. Must present original papers when checking in at show and for Judge at Grand
Reserve and Champion Challenges.
2. Agent letter signed and dated must be presented to Show Secretary and Judge if owner is not present at show.
3. Current owner must be listed on papers or a bill of sale dated within a week of the show date. It will be the owners responsibly to transfer papers directly after the show before points will count.
4. A stamped duplicate of a faxed registration application showing the date of receipt by USBGA office will be accepted on goats less than 6 months of age.
5. All exhibitors must be in good standing with USBGA.
6. All animals must have a legible tattoo that matches the registration papers. When the Judge verifies the tattoos for the Grand/Reserve Championships or Challenges and the tattoo does not match it will forfeit the award.
7. Judges decision will be final.


Ennobled and Elite Ennobled Requirements:

*Note: If a goat is entered in the open breed classes and has successfully completed the Ennoblement requirements then the winning point will be granted to the Reserve.

Ennobled Champion Award Rules:

Earn total of 4 points by doing the following:
4 Official Grand Champions of which 1 must be earned as an official Senior Doe/Buck* = 4 points.
Official Doe and Buck must fulfill the requirement that they have at least (1) USBGA registered offspring on record.
*Explanation for Official Senior Doe & Buck:
a. Official Senior Doe is a doe that has delivered a live birth where the kid(s) have stood and nursed.
b. Official Senior Buck is a buck that has produced at least 1 live kid(s).
In 2008 DNA must be completed before award is finalized.

Elite Ennobled Champion Award Rules:

Earn total of 8 points (4 from Ennobled and 4 more for Elite) by doing the following:
Fulfill the Ennobled Champion requirements (4 points)
4 Official Grand Champions of which 1 must be earned as an Official Senior Doe/Buck.
Official Does and Bucks must fulfill the requirement that they have a least (1) USBGA registered offspring on record.
Plus 4 Official Senior Champion Challenges = 1 point each (4 points)
In 2007 DNA must be completed before award is finalized
